My first Jack-O-Lantern!

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me to Target, and we bought a big, round, orange thing. They explained that it's called a pumpkin, and that Mommies and Daddies help their kids make pictures in them for Halloween. I really didn't get it, but they said they'd help me. Today, we made our Jack-O-Lantern, and I had a blast!

They let me play with my pumpkin, and I really liked it.
I like to thump on it. It makes a loud noise.
It was SO weird- Daddy cut the top off my pumpkin, and there was this really neat goop inside it!

I loved that goop. It tasted good, and it was fun to fling around.

Mommy and Daddy let me play with as much as that goop as I wanted, and I had a blast.

Here I am with the final carving. Daddy did a good job! He said when I'm a big boy, he'll let me draw a picture and he'll carve that, but for now, he did something fancy.
It's a kitty, and a spider, and another pumpkin!

I'm so proud of my Daddy! He did a good job, and I was a big help!

  1. Conner, What a great help you must have been to help your daddy make such a neat looking Jack-O-Lantern. I bet you can't wait to go trick or treating. You'll probably get some really nice treats. Our little girls can't wait to see the prade on Thursday and then Trick or Treat and get all the candy they can eat. Oh, I'm pretty sure their mommy won't let them eat much candy either.
