Back to the zoo!

Today Mommy and her friends Nina and Lyle took me back to the zoo. Last time we went it was really, really crowded. Today was much better! I saw all of the animals, and wait till you see what I did with Nanners!!

Here is the rhino, taking a mud bath. Mommy said there's NO WAY I can take a mud bath. Just you wait, Mommy!
Here I am watching the other rhino have his lunch. It doesn't look as good as mine.

These big birdies just sat around and stared at me. It felt like they wanted to have ME for lunch!

Saw a bear in Tampa.

Here I am pointing the flamingos out to everyone. I told them they have a friend who flies over our house. They didn't have much to say back to me, though.

Grammy, is this like the snapping turtle that surprised you last week?

I have a book called But Not the Hippopotamus, and here she is! I thought she was off going for a jog with the cat and the rats in their new running hats, leaving the armadillo by herself!

This was the BEST part of my whole day. Mommy took me to FEED NANNERS!!!!!

Here he is, telling me how much he loves me snuggling him in my cribby.

And here I am, after I gave him a cracker! He stuck his loooong tongue out and took it, then I reached out and petted him on his nose! He tickled, and I giggled. I talked to him a lot. I said all my best words for him.

He's looking for crumbs, I think.

Here he's asking Mommy's friend Nina for a cracker.

Here's one more picture, but not from the zoo. I was practicing my camouflage, but Mommy found me anyway. It took her a while, though. Silly Mommy!

Playing around

I've played a lot this week. Here are some highlights of what I've been up to!

I really enjoy putting shoes on. My shoes, Mommy's shoes, Daddy's shoes, any shoes! Here I am playing Peek A Boo!

Or was I just trying to read the newspaper like Daddy?

I go for a ride with Bob every day. I'm in charge of honking the horn.

And one time, he helped me pick a flower for my Mommy!

Here we are. Let's GO!

One of my molars is coming in, and it HURTS!!!!!! Daddy snuggled me, which helped a little bit. I was so sleepy and all ready for my nap.

Mommy got me a tackle box to take my lunch to day camp in!

I wanted to play with it- but couldn't get it open...

Hey! Guy in the mirror! How'd you get out there?

And finally, here I am playing on my horsie. Mommy said it's like Wii for babies!

Our big backyard

Today we finally had a break from the rain, and so I played in my yard. Here I am trying to fill some pretty big shoes.
I can even walk in it!

Mommy, why do you keep clinking that thingy at me?

The baby in the mirror came out to play, too!

My tooth hurts- a lot. I chew on my finger, but then my finger hurts. I just can't win.

Mommy also took pictures of the plants in my yard.
An avocado.

My pineapples.

Pretty flowers.

More pretty flowers.
Baby oranges!

And here are my fishies. I LOVE to go feed my fishies!!

My bubbles!

I played with the strangest thingies today. They floated in the air, but when I tried to catch them, they disappeared. Daddy made them come out of a magic wand! Here I am trying to catch them.

Where did it go?????

More magic balls, please, Daddy!

Later that night, I figured out how to use Mommy's sippy cup all by myself.

Good thing it was only water in there!

My future career!!

Today, I decided on my future job. I'm going to be a zoologist and go to zoos all day. Mommy, Daddy, Mommom, and Bob took me to Lowry Park zoo this afternoon, and did I ever have fun!!!
Here are my Daddy and me looking at a bird with a really weird head. It flew right by us, and I jumped!

Looking for the sloth. We finally found him waaay up in the treetops.
I forget what I was looking at in this picture, but I liked it, because I was using the Force to try and get it.

These were gibbons, and they kept making these LOUD hooting noises! I crinkled my nose and looked confused, because I didn't know where the noise was coming from.

Daddy is pointing out pretty birdies for me.

Here's the orangutans. One is a baby. Why don't MY Mommy and Daddy let me climb on things the way his Mommy does?

This was a baby tiger carrying something in his mouth the way I do when I crawl. I guess he's still a baby and can't walk yet.

The talking lady said that when the tiger babies were born they were even littler than me! I felt like such a big boy when she said that! Their Mommy takes them swimming, too, but won't put her head under water.
This is a BIG rhinoceros. I wanted to play with him like my doggies. Daddy hustled me away.

Here are the manatees. They're in this zoo because they got hurt, and the zoo is making them feel all better just like my doctor buddy does when I'm sick.

He's eating lettuce. Not sure why he's eating lettuce. He should be eating tomatoes!

This is an otter who swims just a good as me!

Flamingoes. I see them fly over my house sometimes.

Here's a mommy Sandhill Crane with her baby eggies. She's a good mommy, but why is she sitting on them?? My Mommy doesn't sit on me! Isn't she afraid she'll squish them???

This is a meerkat, keeping watch just like my doggies do.
Here I am, just hanging out and still having fun.

BIG elephants! This one is littler than the others. Guess he's a baby, like me.

One of the big elephants chased a little deer (Mommy called it an antelope) into a pen! He's a mean bully!
THE BEST PART IS COMING UP!!!
I saw Nanners!! He was at the zoo, and he was walking around and everything! How did he get out of my cribby???
And who are his friends, and whose cribbies do they live in???

It was a long day, and I was all tired out. Night night, everybody! (And remember, I did NOT nap. I was just resting my eyelids.)
