Goats and manatees and tigers, oh my!

I went to the zoo again today! But first, I went swimming. I am a great swimmer, I have to tell you. I can splash so high, and so far! Here I am showing Mommy and Daddy how it's done.

I'm only allowed to go into the deep end with Mommy or Daddy.

Splashing again!

Next, we went to the zoo! I love the zoo. I ride along in my stroller and watch everything, and then Mommy gives me Cheerios to eat. Sometimes I get ice cream, too! The zoo is the best.

Just as I was about to play, Grammy called. Mommy is telling her she has to go, because I'm not the patient-est guy when I want to do something.

This animal is a goat. I need a goat. They're just my size. I know, I have doggies, but I need a goat too.

The llama! They're pretty neat, as Mommy told me about a hundred times as we talked to it.

See? I NEED a goat to play with! He liked me!

He liked the beads on Mommy's bag, too!

Mommy and I brushed this one. I don't think he minded too much when I pulled his ears. They were floppy and funny.

I was cheering for the Penguins. I told them to score lots of goals tonight.

Here I am feeding Nanners again. I never understand how he's in my cribby when I leave AND he beats me home! Guess he's as fast as SuperGrover!

Giving Nanners his cookie.

I sort of had a problem, though. I had the cookie, then Nanners took the cookie, and I forgot to let it go, and he tried to take my hand with it! It scared me, and I cried a little, but we made up. He can still sleep with me.

These are manatees. A mommy and baby, just like my mommy and me!

There's that bird that wants to eat me again. Daddy said he can't fly, but I keep an eye on him anyway.

These turtles were pretty cute too.

More manatees. Mommy and Daddy explained that sometimes people aren't careful with boats, and they hurt these big guys pretty badly. The zoo is like a doctor for them. I thought that was sad. They can't go live with their families anymore, because the boat people weren't careful!

Bet this guy was hot. He needs a haircut.

The tigers were really playful today. Look at his feet! They're HUGE!

Here I am having my snack.

The mommy tiger wanted to go in the water, but she kept testing it and going away. Guess it was cold.

This guy was funny. He kept lying on the table, waiting for his mommy to walk under him. Then he smacked her with his paw! Sometimes she made a big ROAR at him. I think that meant no no.

After we left, I fell asleep. Again. And Daddy took a picture. Again. I hate it when he does that. Guess it's the price I have to pay for such an excellent day, though!

Feeling better!

Well, the last time I posted I was pretty sick. Unluckily for me and Mommy and Daddy, I got sicker. My ears got ouchier. These first 2 pictures were taken in the calm before the storm- right before my ears got worse.

But one good thing was that I got to eat pizza!! I love pizza just like Mommy does. It was yummy!

Then my ears got bad, so Mommy took me to the doctor. I cried and cried and cried, and my nose was drippy, and I just felt rotten. Then, this morning, I woke up looking like this!!! Was someone messing with me? Who put dots on me while I slept???
Back to the doctor we went, and I have rosy cheeks. Mommy called it roseola, but I just call it rosy cheeks. Believe it or not, I was doing better when this was taken!

This picture was out of order. Daddy is trying to play doctor to my fishy. I looked for him today and he's not in the tank. Guess Daddy put him in the pond with the big fishies in my backyard.

Anyway, back to my story. I have to take MORE medicine now. This new stuff is for my nose that won't stop running. In 2 days I can go back to my other stuff, but I still have to have those mean ear drops. I hate them!!!!! After 2 1/2 days, I'm feeling better. Mommy can put me down now, and I don't scream. I'm back to the toys!

Here I am tonight eating my first food since Sunday. Green beans!

Grammy sent me a fork, which I really enjoy.

Here I am using it!

Sick... but they still have to chase me!

After I coughed and coughed all weekend, and my nose kept running (Why do Mommy and Daddy say it's running, anyway? It's still on my face!) Mommy took me to the doctor. Turns out I have bad ear infections in both of my ears! I got yummy stuff to drink, and Mommy said I'll feel all better soon. Mommy said my Pap has an earache too. I hope he feels better soon like Mommy said I will!

Even though I felt a little yucky, Mommy and Daddy still had to chase me all around. Here I am making a lot of noise with my ball popper. Mommy said it sounds so quiet in the house when I put it down! I don't know what she's talking about. The noise it makes is so pretty!
Mommom is helping me to play with my toys. I like to pull the latch on my jack-in-the-box instead of waiting for the song!
Here I am driving my car.

I have keys, but they don't work in the door. I don't know why.
I love you, Mommy!

Back to the zoo!

Today Mommy and her friends Nina and Lyle took me back to the zoo. Last time we went it was really, really crowded. Today was much better! I saw all of the animals, and wait till you see what I did with Nanners!!

Here is the rhino, taking a mud bath. Mommy said there's NO WAY I can take a mud bath. Just you wait, Mommy!
Here I am watching the other rhino have his lunch. It doesn't look as good as mine.

These big birdies just sat around and stared at me. It felt like they wanted to have ME for lunch!

Saw a bear in Tampa.

Here I am pointing the flamingos out to everyone. I told them they have a friend who flies over our house. They didn't have much to say back to me, though.

Grammy, is this like the snapping turtle that surprised you last week?

I have a book called But Not the Hippopotamus, and here she is! I thought she was off going for a jog with the cat and the rats in their new running hats, leaving the armadillo by herself!

This was the BEST part of my whole day. Mommy took me to FEED NANNERS!!!!!

Here he is, telling me how much he loves me snuggling him in my cribby.

And here I am, after I gave him a cracker! He stuck his loooong tongue out and took it, then I reached out and petted him on his nose! He tickled, and I giggled. I talked to him a lot. I said all my best words for him.

He's looking for crumbs, I think.

Here he's asking Mommy's friend Nina for a cracker.

Here's one more picture, but not from the zoo. I was practicing my camouflage, but Mommy found me anyway. It took her a while, though. Silly Mommy!

Playing around

I've played a lot this week. Here are some highlights of what I've been up to!

I really enjoy putting shoes on. My shoes, Mommy's shoes, Daddy's shoes, any shoes! Here I am playing Peek A Boo!

Or was I just trying to read the newspaper like Daddy?

I go for a ride with Bob every day. I'm in charge of honking the horn.

And one time, he helped me pick a flower for my Mommy!

Here we are. Let's GO!

One of my molars is coming in, and it HURTS!!!!!! Daddy snuggled me, which helped a little bit. I was so sleepy and all ready for my nap.

Mommy got me a tackle box to take my lunch to day camp in!

I wanted to play with it- but couldn't get it open...

Hey! Guy in the mirror! How'd you get out there?

And finally, here I am playing on my horsie. Mommy said it's like Wii for babies!
